One of the great things about tile is how easy it is to keep clean. A simple maintenance routine is all that’s needed to keep your tile looking like the day it was installed.
- Sweep it up! In most cases, all you need is to grab a broom and sweep the floor of any loose debris. Which type of broom you use is up to you, but we recommend using a Swiffer to save time. For wall tile, we recommend using a microfiber cloth to wipe away dust, cobwebs, etc. and for shower walls, using a squeegee to wipe away water and soap residue.
- To wash, use warm water and if needed use a neutral PH cleaner like Bona Hard Surface Cleaner or Miracle Sealants Porcelain & Ceramic Tile Cleaner. Be sure to rinse properly after using any cleaning product to avoid build-up, which can dull the tile’s surface. Skip any products containing bleach or vinegar as they may cause damage to the tile surface over time.
